The Redress Design Award is the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition. The programme works to educate emerging fashion designers around the world about sustainable design theories and techniques in order to drive growth towards a circular fashion system. By putting sustainable design talent in the global spotlight, the Redress Design Award creates a unique platform for passionate and talented fashion game-changers to transform the global fashion industry and rewards the best with career-changing prizes to maximise long-term impact.
Amara Communications was tasked with ensuring strong media and KOL attendance to the multi-session awards event and catwalk, as well as overall coverage, including ambassador interviews of the awards on a global level. Amara communications managed the entire guest list ensuring Hong Kong's most influential personalities attended, creating a huge social media buzz on KOLs accounts and increasing the Redress Design Awards following. Distributing multiple press releases and aggressively pitching unique angles to trade, lifestyle, and luxury outlets as well and securing exclusive high-profile interviews with Redress Founder Dr Christina Dean, ensured a broad range of coverage was achieved.
78 media and KOLs attended the event, generating press and social media coverage, including guests such as Jessie Li and Andrew Cheng. Since September 2022, we achieved 194 pieces of press with a media impression of almost 2.5 billion, including coverage in Sing Tao Daily (Print and Online), HKET a, ELLE (Print) and TVB.
