Vermillion is Asia’s first platform that showcases the works of award-winning and emerging Asian designers. Launched in 2022, Vermillion has both B2B and B2C offerings. The platform represents more than 1000 contemporary Asian home decor and lifestyle brands from nine geographies: Greater China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, India the Philippines, and Australia. With the vision to celebrate, conserve and convey Asian design, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage, the platform connects design lovers and discerning buyers with culturally authentic brands, as well as insightful content that offers a window to the world of Asian design.
Amara Communications was appointed to as the communications partner from the launch. We identified a unique pitching angle, Founder Krizia Li and her incredible journey to entrepreneurship. We set out to establish Krizia as a pioneering entrepreneur offering unrivalled opportunities to Asian artists/designers through her new design discovery platform. Amara Communications hosted a collaborative pop-up with renowned Hong Kong designers at a city institution: Tai Ping Carpets to allow media to interact with the product and gain an understanding of Vermillion’s diverse offering of over 1000 products.
Amara successfully launched Vermillion to the Hong Kong media, securing impressive coverage during the launch phase in a broad range of publications from The Financial Times to Home Journal and Hong Kong Economic Journal. Fifty prominent media placements were achieved, with a combined readership of 31 million.
